New test could predict dangerous side effects of common breast cancer drugs

NCT ID NCT07100054

Summary

This study aims to develop a test to predict which breast cancer patients might experience severe side effects or poor response to a common class of drugs called CDK4/6 inhibitors. Researchers will analyze blood samples and genetic information from 100 female patients taking these medications to find biological markers linked to drug breakdown in the body. The goal is to help doctors personalize treatment by identifying patients at higher risk for toxicity or reduced drug benefit before they start therapy.
