Neck scan may predict dangerous blood pressure drop in High-Risk C-Sections
NCT ID NCT07496788
First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a simple neck ultrasound can predict a sudden drop in blood pressure during a C-section in women with preeclampsia. Researchers will measure the jugular vein collapsibility before spinal anesthesia and track blood pressure changes afterward. The goal is to improve safety for 96 mothers undergoing planned C-sections.
