Brain scans could end antidepressant Trial-and-Error

NCT ID NCT05537584

Summary

This study aimed to help doctors choose the right antidepressant for people with depression before they start treatment. Researchers used brain scans, computer tasks, and questionnaires to find markers that predict whether a person would respond better to one of two common antidepressants. About 130 adults with depression were randomly assigned to take one of the medications for 8 weeks while their progress was tracked.
