NCT ID NCT03927079
First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study aims to find out why some antibiotics don't reach the lungs well enough to fight pneumonia. Researchers will measure antibiotic levels in the blood and in lung fluid from 101 adults who are already having a bronchoscopy. The goal is to identify factors that predict good lung penetration, which could help doctors choose the right antibiotic dose for serious lung infections.
