New precision trial aims to stop heart and kidney damage in type 1 diabetes

Summary

This study tests whether matching specific drugs to a person's unique type of type 1 diabetes can better protect their heart and kidneys. About 57 adults with type 1 diabetes and early signs of heart or kidney issues will receive targeted treatments. The goal is to slow or prevent organ damage by using the right therapy for each patient's disease pattern.
