Personalized comfort care may extend life for advanced cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06787313

Summary

This study is testing whether a personalized approach to palliative care (comfort-focused treatment) helps people with advanced esophageal cancer live longer and feel better compared to standard palliative care. Researchers will enroll 624 adults who are receiving immunotherapy and randomly assign them to receive either personalized or standard supportive care. The main goal is to see if the personalized approach improves survival, while also tracking quality of life, symptom burden, and anxiety/depression over one year.
