NCT ID NCT05239845
First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looks at whether taking prebiotic supplements for 56 days can improve sleep quality, gut health, thinking skills, immune function, and stress in healthy adults who say they sleep poorly. About 68 volunteers aged 25 to 60 with stable sleep schedules and poor sleep scores will be randomly assigned to one of three prebiotic formulas or a placebo. The main goal is to measure sleep quality using lab tests, with additional checks on how long it takes to fall asleep, total sleep time, and number of awakenings.
