Could a simple Pre-Surgery drink speed recovery for diabetics?
NCT ID NCT07451015
Summary
This study tested whether giving diabetic patients a carbohydrate-rich drink before elective abdominal surgery is safe and helps them recover better. Researchers compared 120 patients—some with diabetes, some without—who received either the special drink or water before their operation. They measured recovery speed, hospital stay length, and safety factors like blood sugar levels and stomach emptying to see if the drink benefits diabetic patients.
