NCT ID NCT05621109
First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether helping overweight mothers lose about 10% of their body weight before getting pregnant can lower the chance of their babies being born with too much body fat and becoming overweight later in childhood. The study involves 240 women or couples who are planning a pregnancy. Half will receive a weight loss program, and the other half will receive usual care. Researchers will then compare the babies' body fat at birth and growth over the first year.
