New brain tumor strategy: zap first, then cut

NCT ID NCT05030298

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether giving a single, precise, high-dose radiation treatment (radiosurgery) *before* surgery can help control aggressive brain tumors (high-grade gliomas) better and with fewer side effects. The study will find the safest and most effective dose of this pre-surgery radiation. After the radiosurgery and surgery, participants will still receive standard follow-up treatments, including more radiation and chemotherapy.
