NCT ID NCT04234386

First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study is testing a single, focused dose of radiation given before surgery to remove early-stage breast cancer. The radiation is delivered using a special machine called the GammaPod, which targets the tumor precisely and spares healthy tissue. The goal is to find a safe and effective dose that controls the disease while minimizing side effects and skin changes. About 50 women with invasive ductal breast cancer will participate.
