New brain tumor strategy: zap then cut
NCT ID NCT05267587
Summary
This study is testing if giving a short, focused course of radiation right before surgery helps keep brain tumors from coming back longer than the current standard approach. It involves 49 adults with cancer that has spread to the brain from elsewhere in the body, where the main tumor is removable by surgery. The goal is to see if this combined treatment improves local control of the disease.
