NCT ID NCT07182773

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a 30-minute moderate cycling session just before chemotherapy or immunotherapy can help cancer patients maintain their fitness. 80 adults with breast, ovarian, or colorectal cancer will either receive standard advice or also exercise with a physiotherapist on treatment days for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if this routine is practical and acceptable, not yet to prove it works.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
exercise (aerobic cycling)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a simple, supervised exercise routine that helps cancer patients stay fit during treatment.
What could go wrong
This is a small feasibility study (80 people) testing if the exercise is practical, not yet whether it improves outcomes. Results may not apply to all cancer types or stages.
