Common heartburn drug could be lifesaver for trauma Patients' kidneys

Summary
This study investigates whether giving a common heartburn medication (pantoprazole) very early can help prevent kidney damage in trauma patients who have gone into shock from severe bleeding. Researchers will compare early treatment against usual care in 100 adult patients. They will measure kidney injury markers in urine and track kidney health for 30 days to see if early medication reduces serious kidney problems.
