NCT ID NCT07516262

First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether taking proton pump inhibitors (PPIs), common acid-reducing drugs, changes the accuracy of a stool DNA test for H. pylori infection. Researchers will test 25 adults who need long-term PPI therapy, comparing stool DNA test results while on PPIs and after stopping them for four weeks. The goal is to understand how PPIs interfere with the test, helping doctors diagnose H. pylori more reliably.
