First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a 12-week functional power training program (MegaPower) helps children with cerebral palsy achieve their personal participation and activity goals better than usual care. The trial will include 66 children aged 4-12 who can walk with or without help. Researchers will measure goal achievement, walking ability, and endurance, and follow up for 24 weeks to see if benefits last.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- functional power training (MegaPower training)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could provide an effective exercise program to help children with cerebral palsy improve walking and reach their own activity goals.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial with only 66 participants. The training may not be more effective than usual care, and results may not apply to all children with CP.
