Hormone therapy before surgery may help some women skip radiation

Summary
This study is for women aged 65 and older with early-stage, hormone-sensitive breast cancer. It tests whether taking hormone pills for 3 months before surgery helps patients and their doctors make a more informed decision about whether to skip radiation after surgery. Half the participants will receive this pre-surgery hormone therapy, while the other half will follow standard care and go straight to surgery. The study will track how many women choose to skip radiation and how well they stick with their hormone therapy.
