Fresh vs. processed: the potassium puzzle for kidney patients

NCT ID NCT06920914

Summary

This study aims to understand how potassium from fresh foods like fruits and vegetables affects the body differently than potassium from processed foods in people with advanced chronic kidney disease. Researchers will provide 48 participants with four different 10-day diets to measure changes in blood potassium, body composition, and blood pressure. The goal is to gather evidence to create better, more specific dietary advice for managing kidney disease.
