New study tests if posture exercises can reverse 'Smartphone Neck'
NCT ID NCT06864780
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study compares different posture correction exercises to see which works best for forward head posture—a common problem for people who spend hours on smartphones and laptops. Fifty-six adults aged 18 to 40 will do targeted exercises like chin tucks and shoulder blade squeezes for four weeks. Researchers will measure changes in neck alignment and pain levels to find the most effective approach.

What this could lead to
If effective, these exercises could offer a simple, drug-free way to correct forward head posture and ease neck discomfort for frequent device users.
