NCT ID NCT07622979
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This trial compares two exercise programs—Blackburn and Egoscue—to see which better improves forward head posture and reduces neck pain. Adults aged 25 to 45 with moderate to severe forward head posture and neck disability will be randomly assigned to one of the two exercise groups. Both groups also receive standard treatments like heat therapy and gentle neck exercises. The study measures changes in head angle, pain levels, and neck function over 8 weeks.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Blackburn exercises and Egoscue exercises
What this could lead to
If one exercise method proves more effective, it could offer a better non-drug option for improving posture and reducing neck pain.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 28 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The exercises may not work for all individuals.
