New hope for Moms' pain after traumatic birth
NCT ID NCT03470675
Summary
This study tested different pain relief methods for women who experienced severe tears during childbirth. It involved 67 women who received either a placebo, a low-dose ketamine and morphine combination, or morphine alone shortly after delivery. The goal was to see which method best reduced pain in the first week and also looked at longer-term pain, depression risk, and mother-baby bonding over a full year.
