Could simple medication after birth prevent hospital returns for new moms?
NCT ID NCT04298034
Summary
This study aims to find out if giving blood pressure medication to women with preeclampsia right after they give birth helps prevent dangerous high blood pressure and reduces their need to return to the hospital. It will involve 300 women who have recently delivered and have been diagnosed with preeclampsia. Half will receive standard blood pressure medication, while the other half will receive usual care, to see which approach leads to better health outcomes in the weeks after birth.
