First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at 70,000 adults who had surgery under general anesthesia to see if the drug used to reverse muscle relaxants affects the risk of being unable to pee after surgery. Researchers compared two reversal drugs, sugammadex and neostigmine, and also checked how this affects hospital costs and unplanned visits. The goal is to help doctors choose the best option for patients.
