Summary
This study aims to understand why some older adults become confused (delirious) after major surgery. Researchers will measure brain activity, take images, and test blood and spinal fluid from about 468 patients before and after their operations. The goal is to find biological signs that predict or explain delirium, not to test a new treatment.
