Could a simple chest patch catch hidden heart risks after stroke?
NCT ID NCT07407790
First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study compares a new wireless heart sensor patch to standard hospital monitoring for detecting atrial fibrillation (AF) in people who recently had a stroke or mini-stroke. About 450 adults will be randomly assigned to wear the patch for up to 14 days or receive usual care with a Holter monitor for 24-48 hours. The goal is to see if the patch is as good or better at finding AF, which can help doctors start the right medication to prevent another stroke.
