First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using sonic devices (EDDY or EndoActivator) with or without a laser during root canal treatment could lower pain after the procedure. Eighty adults with infected single-root teeth were randomly assigned to one of four cleaning methods. Patients reported their pain levels and painkiller use over a week. The results showed no meaningful difference in pain or medication use between any of the groups.
