New study to reveal how stomach surgery affects muscle health

Summary

This study will follow 100 people who have had their stomach removed (gastrectomy) to see how their muscles change over time. Researchers will measure muscle thickness in the arms and legs to understand the pattern of muscle loss and how nutrition plays a role. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help improve recovery after this surgery.
