Can focusing on the positive help teens heal from trauma and ADHD?

NCT ID NCT04336072

Summary

This study tested a new group therapy approach for teenagers who have both Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The therapy, called Reminder-Focused Positive Psychiatry, aims to build resilience and well-being by focusing on personal strengths and positive emotions, rather than just treating symptoms. Researchers compared it to a standard trauma-focused therapy to see if it was acceptable to teens and could help improve their mental health and even physical markers like inflammation.
