Can gratitude letters ease the shock of an MS diagnosis?
NCT ID NCT06891937
Summary
This study tested whether simple writing exercises focused on gratitude and past successes could help people recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) feel more hopeful and improve their emotional well-being. Thirty participants were randomly assigned to either start the exercises immediately or wait five weeks, completing surveys about their mood and quality of life throughout. The main goal was to see if this five-week, self-guided program was practical for patients and if it led to measurable improvements in happiness and daily function.
