Summary

This study tested a small, portable device called MARIE that measures carbon dioxide (CO2) in the breath of 40 adults recovering from surgery. The goal was to see if MARIE gives accurate readings compared to standard hospital monitors. The device could help detect breathing problems earlier than current methods.
