Battlefield brain scanner aims to save lives

NCT ID NCT07338383

Summary

This study is testing a new, portable scanner designed to quickly detect dangerous brain bleeds (intracranial hemorrhage) in people with head injuries. The goal is to provide a fast, accurate diagnostic tool for use in emergency settings like battlefields or remote areas where traditional CT scanners aren't available. Researchers will enroll 80 participants to see how well the portable device's readings match those from standard CT scans and to check how easy it is for medical staff to use.
