Could a simple popsicle save the taste of food during chemo?
NCT ID NCT07218718
Summary
This study is testing if sucking on popsicles before, during, and after a specific type of chemotherapy can help reduce taste changes, a common and bothersome side effect. It will involve 60 men with prostate cancer who are about to start their first round of taxane chemotherapy. Participants will be randomly assigned to either use the popsicle cooling method or receive usual care to see which approach better preserves their sense of taste.
