First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special oil from olive pomace can lower inflammation in people with early-stage Alzheimer's. Researchers will give 40 Alzheimer's patients and 40 healthy adults meals containing either pomace oil or a standard sunflower oil, then measure blood markers of inflammation over six hours. The goal is to see if the bioactive compounds in pomace oil can reduce the inflammatory response triggered by dietary fats.
