Can walking with poles help seniors stay on their feet?
NCT ID NCT05388227
Summary
This study is testing whether a group pole walking program is practical and helpful for older adults living independently. Researchers will work with residents and staff to design the program, then see if it improves physical activity, strength, balance, and quality of life while reducing fear of falling. The program involves supervised group sessions 2-3 times a week for 12 weeks, held outdoors when possible.
