Doctors track 600 patients to see how well a key swallowing procedure works Long-Term
NCT ID NCT05905016
Summary
This study is collecting information on patients who are already scheduled to receive a standard medical procedure called POEM for conditions like achalasia, gastroparesis, and Zenker's diverticulum. It will follow 600 adults for 4-5 years to see how effective the procedure is long-term, how often symptoms come back, and what the reflux rates are. No experimental treatments are being tested; the goal is to better understand the real-world outcomes of this existing procedure.
