Summary
This study tested a new type of artificial lens (PODEYE TORIC) for people having cataract surgery who also have astigmatism, a condition where the eye is shaped like a football instead of a basketball. 261 adults received either the new lens or a standard lens. The goal was to see if the new lens better corrects blurry vision from astigmatism after surgery. The study is complete, and results will show how well the lens works and stays in place.
