Double-Shot defense: can a vaccine combo shield vulnerable cancer patients from deadly pneumonia?

NCT ID NCT05183854

Summary

This study is testing if giving two different pneumonia vaccines in a series works better to protect people with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). CLL weakens the immune system, making patients very vulnerable to serious lung infections. Researchers want to see if this two-vaccine approach can trigger a stronger, longer-lasting immune defense against pneumonia.
