Summary

This study tested a drug called PLS240 in 362 adults with end-stage kidney disease on dialysis who also have overactive parathyroid glands (secondary hyperparathyroidism). The goal was to see if PLS240 can safely lower high parathyroid hormone levels. Participants received either PLS240 or a placebo for 27 weeks, then all could receive PLS240 for another 26 weeks. The study is complete and focuses on controlling the condition, not curing it.
