First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at why some patients with very low platelet counts don't respond to platelet transfusions. Researchers studied antibodies in the blood that can attack transfused platelets. The goal was to find patterns that could help doctors choose better-matched platelets in the future. 50 adults with blood cancers or stem cell transplants took part.
