Summary

This study tested whether injecting a patient's own concentrated platelets (platelet-rich plasma) around the eye could help people with a sudden vision loss condition called NAION. 31 adults with recent vision loss were randomly assigned to receive the injection or just be observed. The goal was to see if the treatment could improve vision and nerve health over 16 weeks.
