Plasma zaps tested to heal stubborn wounds

NCT ID NCT07251426

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a new treatment called cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) to standard wound care helps heal diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers faster and better. It will involve 494 adults with these types of chronic wounds that have stopped healing. Researchers will compare the standard care alone to standard care plus CAP therapy to see which leads to more ulcer-free days and better quality of life over 26 weeks.
