Hormone clue may explain higher pregnancy risks in IVF

NCT ID NCT07477340

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at a hormone called relaxin in women who become pregnant after embryo transfer. Researchers want to see if relaxin levels differ between fresh and frozen embryo transfers, which may help explain why frozen transfers have higher risks of problems like preeclampsia. The study will involve 60 first-time mothers with a single pregnancy from IVF. No new treatment is given—only blood tests and ultrasound measurements are used.
