Smoothie study aims to cut pain after knee surgery
NCT ID NCT06896240
Summary
This study is testing whether drinking a daily plant-based smoothie for two weeks before knee revision surgery can help patients recover better. Researchers want to see if this simple dietary change can reduce body inflammation, change gut bacteria, and lead to less pain and lower opioid use after surgery. They will compare 24 patients who drink the smoothies to a control group that makes no diet changes.
