Can a Plant-Based meal plan fight weight gain from prostate cancer treatment?
NCT ID NCT05471414
Summary
This study is testing whether a home-delivered, whole-food, plant-based diet can help men with prostate cancer manage their weight while they are on hormone therapy. Researchers are comparing this special meal plan with standard nutritional advice in 76 overweight or obese men. The goal is to see if the plant-based diet reduces weight gain and body-wide inflammation, which are common side effects of the cancer treatment.
