Summary
This study looked at whether eating a plant-based diet for 12 weeks could help kidney transplant recipients lower their blood pressure and improve their gut bacteria. 102 stable kidney transplant patients were randomly assigned to either follow a plant-based diet or continue their usual diet. The goal was to see if this diet change could reduce heart disease risk, a major concern after transplant.
