First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether certain substances from the placenta (sFlt-1 and PlGF) can help doctors know if a baby is in distress during labor. About 428 pregnant women will have their placental markers tested and compared with standard fetal heart monitoring. The goal is to find a better way to detect problems early and improve safety for mothers and babies.
