Rescue trial tests placental graft to heal stubborn diabetic foot wounds

NCT ID NCT07159282

Summary

This study is testing a wound dressing made from donated placental tissue to help heal diabetic foot ulcers that did not close after 12 weeks of standard care alone. It is enrolling 60 adults with diabetes whose foot sores did not heal in a previous trial. The main goal is to see if adding this graft to standard weekly care helps more wounds fully close within 12 weeks.
