Summary

This early-phase study tests a new vaccine made from a person's own immune cells and a small piece of insulin protein. The goal is to see if it is safe and possible to teach the immune system to stop destroying the pancreas cells that make insulin. Six adults with type 1 diabetes who use insulin will receive the vaccine and be followed for about two years.
