New chemo combo aims to extend life in rare abdominal cancer

Summary
This study tests whether adding a special chemotherapy spray (PIPAC) directly into the abdomen to standard IV chemo can help people with peritoneal mesothelioma live longer. About 66 adults who have not had prior treatment will be randomly assigned to get either standard chemo alone or standard chemo plus PIPAC. The trial is currently on hold.
