First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether doing Pilates exercises three times a week for 12 weeks can improve bone density in breast cancer survivors aged 40-60 who are taking hormone therapy (aromatase inhibitors). These women are at higher risk for bone loss and osteoporosis. The trial will measure changes in bone mineral density and quality of life in 60 participants.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a simple, drug-free way to help breast cancer survivors maintain bone strength while on hormone therapy.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 60 participants over 12 weeks. Bone changes may be too small to matter, and results may not apply to all survivors.
